Daniel B. Kohrman is Senior Attorney for AARP Foundation Litigation.
Kohrman's primary practice work has been trial and appellate litigation on behalf of persons age 50+ including people with disabilities. He was a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division. He also served as Counsel to Hogan & Hartson in Washington, D.C. In addition, Kohrman has taught at the George Washington University Law Center. For the past two years, he has served as a National Executive Board member of the National Employment Lawyers' Association.
Kohrman has been a national American Diabetes Association volunteer for eight years, having served as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Legal Advocacy Subcommittee, and as a member of the Advocacy Committee. He has also played a role in helping to train nearly 200 legal advocates and more than 100 lay advocates to advance the interests of workers and students with diabetes in communities nationwide.
