Pearson Cummin, III

Pearson C. Cummin III, MBA, is Immediate Past Secretary/Treasurer of the American Diabetes Association, the nation's largest voluntary health organization leading the fight to Stop Diabetes®. He is also a venture capitalist and managing member of Grey Fox Associates, LLC in Greenwich, Conn.

His national service to the American Diabetes Association spans more than 15 years and includes serving as a member of the Marketing and Communications, Research Policy, and Finance Committees, and as Chair of the Fund Raising Committee. Cummin has also served on the national Board of Directors and as Vice Chair of the Research Foundation. He is currently serving as Secretary/Treasurer of the Research Foundation. He is a member of the American Diabetes Association's Pinnacle Society and Summit Circle. These are recognition societies representative of individuals who are providing significant contributions to the Association through major gifts and their estate plans, respectively.

Cummin founded and was a Managing General Partner for Consumer Venture Partners—an $85 million consumer-oriented venture fund. Previously, he held various marketing and management positions with the General Foods Corporation. He is also currently serving as a Director of the Boston Beer Company.

At the local level, he is a member of the Fairfield County, CT Community Leadership Board and has actively supported the American Diabetes Association's Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes event for more than 10 years.

He earned his Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and his Bachelor of Arts from Harvard College in Cambridge, MA.
