Colgate Total® supports the American Diabetes Association and their efforts to Stop Diabetes by educating consumers and health care professionals about the important role that oral care plays as it relates to the management of diabetes and living an overall healthy lifestyle. They accomplish this through a variety of ways, including support of the Association's Oral Health & Hygiene section on diabetes.org and participating in events such as American Diabetes Association EXPO and Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes in communities throughout the country.
CVS Pharmacy, Inc., a leading retail pharmacy with more than 9,600 locations nationwide, is a proud supporter of the American Diabetes Association and our efforts to Stop Diabetes!
CVS will offer consumer solutions for living well with diabetes—by educating consumers about the health risks associated with diabetes, providing access to support tools and resources, reinforcing the important role health and nutrition play in diabetes management and how the support of health care professionals can make a difference. CVS will accomplish this through a variety of ways which include a microsite www.cvs.com/diabetes-care, presence in Association media channels, in-store education materials, promotions with call to action messaging and through its support of the diabetes community by participating in community-based events and programs such as Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes®, Tour de Cure® and Senior Day events.
NRG Energy, Inc.
NRG Energy, Inc., a leading integrated power company, joins the Association as a National Strategic Partner through 2018. The sponsorship will focus on our Wellness Lives Here initiative and National Get Fit Don't Sit Day™ as well as Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes® and Tour de Cure® events in the Houston, New Jersey and San Francisco markets. NRG will also promote the Association's Stop Diabetes at Work resources and focus on improving the health of its more than 10,000 employees and communities in 22 states.
Walgreen Co., the nation's largest drugstore chain, is committed to helping the Association educate the public about their risk for developing type 2 diabetes, providing support for tools and resources to help those with the disease better manage it as well as raise critical funds to help stop this deadly disease. Each November, during American Diabetes Month, Walgreens conducts a pin pad donation campaign at their nearly 8,000 locations across the United States that raises millions of dollars in support of the diabetes cause. The company participates in the Association's educational event – America Diabetes Association EXPO and supports the American Diabetes Association Alert Day by encouraging their customers to take the Diabetes Risk Test to find out if they are at risk for type 2 diabetes. They also promote the importance of physical activity by participating in Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes events across the country. The Association is one of the company's partner charities that align with "Walgreens Steps with Balanced® Rewards" health and wellness initiative.
