Charles H. Best Medal for Service
Nash M. Childs, PE
Nash M. Childs, PE, from Wilmington, Delaware, received the American Diabetes Association's prestigious 2010 Charles H. Best Medal for Service. The award is presented to the Association's Chair of the Board for outstanding leadership and service.
Mr. Childs is the Executive Vice President of Bancroft Construction Company in Wilmington, Delaware. He has been an American Diabetes Association volunteer for more than 20 years. His national service with the Association has included a previous term on the Board of Directors, and as a member of the Fund Raising, Audit, Finance, Nominating, and Community & Volunteer Development Committees. He is also a member of the American Diabetes Association’s Pinnacle Society and Summit Circle.
Locally, Mr. Childs has served as chair and is currently co-chair of the Diabetes Classic 100 Golf Outing, and is a member of the Wilmington, Delaware/Del Mar Community Leadership Board.
