T. Edwin Stinson, Jr., is Secretary/Treasurer of the American Diabetes Association, the leading nonprofit health organization dedicated to preventing and curing diabetes and to improving the lives of the nearly 24 million U.S. children and adults with diabetes. He is also Chief Financial Officer of American Enterprise Bank of Florida.
Stinson has been a dedicated American Diabetes Association volunteer leader for more than 14 years. During his tenure, he has served in several key leadership roles, including Chair of the Jacksonville Community Leadership Board and as a member of the National Community & Volunteer Development Committee and the Task Force on Building and Supporting Effective Volunteer Community Organizations. He is a member of the American Diabetes Association’s Pinnacle Society and Summit Circle.
He served as the President and CEO of Cygnet Private Bank in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida prior to its sale to the Florida Bank Group, Inc. in 2007. He has also served as Chief Financial Officer of Florida Banks, Inc. and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of First National Bank of Tampa.
Over the last 30 years, he has served in various executive management positions, including president and CEO of two independent banks in the Northwest Florida area. Stinson attended Auburn University and is a graduate of the Alabama Banking School.
