Lorrie W. Liang
Lorrie Welker Liang is Secretary/Treasurer Elect of the American Diabetes Association, the nation's largest voluntary health organization leading the fight to Stop Diabetes®. She is the Vice President of Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, a member of the Lifebridge Health System. She is responsible for the overall financial, operational and strategic management for the Health System's service lines, faculty physician enterprise, research and education.
Liang has served the American Diabetes Association for more than 10 years both on the local and national level. She is currently a member of the national Board of Directors and the Finance Committee. She was also a member of the National Service Achievement Awards Task Force, the Chair of the Baltimore Community Leadership Board and Executive Committee, as well as Chair of the Gala and a member of the Father of the Year Committee. She is a member of the Association's Pinnacle Society—a recognition society representative of individuals who are providing significant contributions to the Association through major gifts. Lorrie also participates in the Chesapeake Bay Tour de Cure cycling event.
Liang holds a Bachelor of Arts in health science and policy from the University of Maryland, and a Master of Health Services Administration from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
