Nina Agbayani, RN, BSN
Nina Agbayani is Director of Programs at the Association of Asian Pacific Community Health Organizations (AAPCHO) in Oakland, Calif. She oversees AAPCHO’s health education and promotion programs, offering technical assistance, training and resources to support the establishment and expansion of services for medically underserved Asian Americans, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities. She has more than 15 years of experience working with diabetes and managing public health programs on a local, state and national level.
Prior to her position with the AAPCHO, she served as a public health nurse with the Hawaii State Diabetes Prevention and Control Program. Nina is currently the chair of the Association’s Adult Strategies Committee. She has also served on the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander Subcommittee and led the Program Development Workgroup. Nina holds a bachelor of science in Nursing from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Honolulu, Hawaii.
