Robin Richardson

Chair of the Board

Robin Richardson is Chair of the American Diabetes Association, the nation's largest voluntary health organization leading the fight to Stop Diabetes®. He is Senior Vice President of Moda Health, where he is the senior executive responsible for the company's Government Accounts, Pharmacy, and Medicaid programs as well as its Human Resources department.

Richardson has been a volunteer for the American Diabetes Association for 17 years. Locally, he served as Chair of the Oregon/Southwest Washington/Idaho Community Leadership Board where he was instrumental in setting a new tone and improving volunteer and staff engagement. Throughout his volunteer service he helped the Portland Gala to become a well-known area event. More recently he has been involved in helping launch and establish the Father of the Year event in Portland. In addition to his leadership on a local level, his national service with the American Diabetes Association includes service on the National Board of Directors from 2008-2010 as well as service on a variety of national committees such as chairing the recent CEO Search Committee, and membership on the Finance Committee, National Service Achievement Awards Committee, the Income Development Committee and others.

Richardson holds a Bachelor of Arts from Oregon State University. He is also a member of the Cherokee Nation.
