Roniece Weaver, MS, RD, LD
Roniece Weaver is Consulting Dietician for the United States Department of Agriculture and the owner of Roniece Weaver and Associates, Inc. She works as a project manager to develop and standardize healthy recipes for the book Healthy Recipes 4 Kids and is part of a national initiative with the USDA to develop, standardize, test, layout and design three cookbooks for national distribution. She is also Lead Nutritionist on Closing the Gap and Office of Minority Health with Hebni Nutrition Consultants, Inc. She works with a grant program designed to educate African Americans on wellness to reduce disparities with diabetes, obesity and heart disease. She has authored several publications including, The New Soul Food Cookbook for People With Diabetes, Month of Meals, Healthy Soul Food and Family Style Soul Food.
Roniece has been a local member of the American Diabetes Association for 16 years. In her nutrition practice, she and her staff provide culturally-sensitive nutrition and lifestyle management as well as interactive cooking classes in their state of the art Nutrition Resource Center. Roniece earned her MS in Health Care Administration from the College of Saint Francis in Atlanta and her BS in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Florida.
