The American Diabetes Association's National Call Center - 1-800-342-2383

ADA representatives at the National Call Center (1-800-DIABETES) are your personal guides to information on diabetes, as well as ADA programs and events. Over the last year, more than 350,000 people contacted us with questions and concerns, or to seek support or direction regarding diabetes and its management.

At the core of providing this excellent service are more than 25 highly-trained, dedicated personnel, who answer your non-medical questions in English or Spanish.

In addition to offering brochures/pamphlets on a variety of diabetes topics, your ADA representative can also:

  • refer you to an ADA recognized provider/education seminar in your area;
  • assist in connecting you with the appropriate local resources in your area;
  • assist people who face discrimination based on diabetes;
  • inform you of local ADA events and programs, and volunteer opportunities;
  • process your personal donation or contribution.

Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST. You can always obtain basic information through our automated system 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Or send an email in English to AskADA@diabetes.org or in Spanish to Preguntas@diabetes.org.

The American Diabetes Association provides the most comprehensive source of useful information to support you and those you love who are living with diabetes. Most of the day-to-day decisions are up to you, but our dedicated staff are committed to helping you take care of your diabetes every step along the way.
