Materials by Subject

Lawyers may also be interested in the materials compiled and distributed by the Association at the second “Fighting for Fairness: Ending Discrimination Against Students and Workers with Diabetes” training seminar, held November 2-3, 2007. Most of these materials are also part of the Materials Bank.

If you are a lawyer looking for guidance on a diabetes discrimination case or have materials that you would like to contribute to the American Diabetes Association's Legal Advocacy Resource Bank, please contact the Legal Advocate by email at legaladvocate@diabetes.org.

The materials on these pages are intended to be used by lawyers and other legal professionals who are assisting with diabetes discrimination matters and should not be submitted in individual lawsuits without first consulting a lawyer. These materials do not constitute legal advice and should not be used in place of consulting a lawyer. If you are currently experiencing discrimination because of your diabetes, you should call the American Diabetes Association at 1-800-DIABETES to request assistance. A representative will send you helpful information and will send you a form to request help from one of the Association's Legal Advocates.
