Training and Background Materials

The American Diabetes Association Legal Advocacy division provides these training and background materials on diabetes discrimination to lawyers helping people who are facing discrimination based on disability. Lawyers looking for guidance on a diabetes discrimination case are invited to contact legal advocacy by sending an email to legaladvocate@diabetes.org

The materials on these pages are intended to be used by lawyers and other legal professionals who are assisting with diabetes discrimination matters. The materials include legal pleadings, which should not be submitted in individual lawsuits without first consulting a lawyer. These materials do not constitute legal advice and should not be used in place of consulting a lawyer. If you are currently experiencing discrimination because of your diabetes, you should call the American Diabetes Association at 1-800-DIABETES to receive written information and to speak with a Legal Advocate.
