You will be offered the opportunity to purchase this coverage at two times per year – during the months of September and March. If you are insured on the last day of the open enrollment period and you then lose coverage because you were terminated from another plan, you can purchase coverage as a self-employed person within the first 30 days after you lose the previous coverage. Please check with the Department of Insurance to find out any additional eligibility criteria that may apply.
