Government Affairs and Advocacy

Advocacy plays an integral role in our mission. We fight for people with diabetes in Washington, DC, in state capitols and in our courts.
Diabetes advocates around the country fight to:
- increase funding for diabetes research and programs;
- prevent diabetes;
- improve access to health care and
- eliminate discrimination against people with diabetes at school, work and elsewhere in their lives.
Take Action
Together we can transform the lives of all people with diabetes if we take action.
Our Priorities
With hard work and leadership from Congress and State Legislators, we can stop the diabetes epidemic in America.
Take Action at the Federal Level
As a Diabetes Advocate every letter you write, every phone call you place helps make it impossible for Congress to ignore the urgent need to stop diabetes.
Take Action at the State Level
Together we can urge state legislatures to help transform the lives of people with diabetes.
Legal Advocacy
We are committed to ending discrimination experienced by people with diabetes through our legal advocacy program.
