All in the Blood Sugar Check
The A-1-C check is the blood sugar check "with a memory." It tells you what your overall blood sugar levels have been over the past 2 to 3 months. You can't get this information from your daily checks with your blood sugar meter. Use your A-1-C result to find out how your treatment plan is working. If your number is 7 or higher, you may need a change in your plan. Talk with your health care team about your target, print this page and write it down.

My target for the A-1-C check is ___________.
