Voices For Change Award
The Voices For Change Award was established by our Awakening the Spirit Team to celebrate the successes of the Special Diabetes Program for Indians (SDPI) grantees and to honor and recognize grant programs that have developed innovative and successful diabetes prevention and treatment programs, activities and resources.

The Pine Ridge Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) have worked diligently to educate Tribal leadership at both local and national levels that diabetes prevention is possible, by sharing their stories of successful weight loss, increased physical activity, healthier food choices and overcoming obstacles in adopting healthy behaviors.
