National diabetes estimates suggest that 5 million Americans have diabetes,
but don’t know it.
10th Anniversary of American Diabetes Alert Day was celebrated with child
star Jerry Mathers of "The Beaver" who participated in satellite
media tours and various national media efforts.
ADA distributes nearly 4 million diabetes risk tests and Walmart Pharmacies
support the ADA in a nationwide “Operation Detect Diabetes” campaign
to help identify the undiagnosed people with diabetes.
