San Antonio Diabetes EXPO
The event is free and open to the public! Donations accepted. FREE VIA bus rides to the EXPO anywhere the VIA bus travels! The American Diabetes Association’s Diabetes Expo 2009 is San Antonio’s ONLY diabetes self-care management health Expo that features informative speakers, cooking demonstrations, fun kids activities, entertainment and diabetes-focused exhibitors that feature the latest diabetes products, meters, services and medicines. The Bexar County incidence of diabetes is 14% compared to 7% of the general population. 257,233 people in Bexar County have diabetes. Hispanics are almost twice as likely to have diabetes as non-Hispanic whites of similar age.
