In addition to these efforts, Bumble Bee has selected the Association as one of its three non-profits to receive a $50,000 donation. In addition, for every mile you walk, run or cycle and log on www.beewellforlife.com, the Association will receive a $.10 donation for every mile up to $150,000.

Bravo Health, a provider of Medicare health and prescription drug plans supports the American Diabetes Association and our efforts to Stop Diabetes®. They do this through providing diabetes educational materials to their members and supporting local events such as Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes, Por Tu Familia and Project Power.


Catherine's LogoCatherines, a chain of specialty fashion stores for plus size women, has joined our efforts to Stop Diabetes by raising funds for the Association and educating their customers about this devastating disease. They support the Association by holding a "Round Up to Stop Diabetes" fundraising campaign where shoppers at all Catherines stores were encouraged to help in the fight against diabetes by rounding up the total amount of their purchase to the next dollar. In addition, Catherines supports the local Philadelphia market through Victory Over Diabetes and Step Out: Walk To Stop Diabetes. And, they encourage all their stores, located throughout the country, to create local walk teams and support Step Out in their own communities.

 


Curel Logo with taglineThe Curél® Skincare experts, who have developed a line of Dermatologist Recommended lotions and creams with Advanced Ceramide Therapy, have joined the movement to Stop Diabetes®. Research has shown that those living with diabetes are at higher risk of developing skin complications. The Curel® Skincare experts will help to raise awareness about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, and emphasizing the connection between healthy skin care and diabetes. In addition, the Curel® Skincare experts will support Stop Diabetes® by distributing educational material about skin care through the Association's Center for Information and Community Support. CVSCVS/pharmacy® is sponsoring American Diabetes Month® and encouraging Americans to participate in "A Day in the Life of Diabetes." Throughout the month of November, CVS/pharmacy will donate $1 to support the Stop Diabetes® movement, up to $25,000, for each personal image that is uploaded to the Association's Facebook page to show what a daily life of diabetes means to them. In addition, CVS/pharmacy will create awareness about diabetes by promoting "A Day in the Life" throughout the different departments in their stores, ensuring that customers can easily get information about American Diabetes Month and become involved in the fight to stop diabetes. Dr. Comfort LogoDr. Comfort is a leading provider of foot care products for people with diabetes and supports the Association’s efforts to Stop Diabetes®. Offering an array of products including shoes, inserts, socks, slippers, sandals and compression hosiery, Dr. Comfort works with foot health professionals to provide therapeutic footwear for those affected by diabetes. To help the Association raise additional awareness of the importance of foot care, Dr. Comfort provides educational materials through the Association’s Center for Information and Community Support and Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program. In addition, they also engage local communities through their involvement at Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes and Tour de Cure events.

Gold Gym LogoGold's Gym is a national sponsor of Tour de Cure, The American Diabetes Association’s nationwide cycling event that helps to increase awareness about diabetes. Gold's Gym teams up with us to raise funds and promote the importance of physical activity in preventing and managing diabetes. Since 2004, Gold’s Gym has been named the Tour's Top Fundraising Team and has raised over $2.8 million to support the mission of the Association. As part of their ongoing commitment to stop diabetes, Gold's Gym has also worked with the Association to develop an Intro to Fitness Guide and on-line fitness resource center that offers free fitness information, tips and exercise programs.

 


Janssen LogoJanssen Pharmaceuticals is supporting the movement to Stop Diabetes® through its support of American Diabetes Association Alert Day®, an annual program which asks the American public to take the Diabetes Risk Test for type 2 diabetes. Additionally the company is supporting CheckUp America, a prevention program designed to help people lower their risk for type 2 diabetes and heart disease.

 


Rite Aid Pharmacy Through their support of the American Diabetes Association's Ask the Pharmacist page on diabetes.org and the in-store distribution of diabetes educational materials, Rite Aid provides much needed resources to help people with diabetes better manage their disease. Rite Aid was the first retail pharmacy to develop a relationship with the Association and helps raise funds through their annual Pin-Up campaign in November. Rite Aid also supported a Mobile Tour at 30 locations throughout the NorthEast. They not only provided free diabetes testing, resources and materials, but also made a donation from the Rite Aid Foundation to each of these local American Diabetes Association offices.

 


Slimming World LogoSlimming World is the U.K.'s largest independent weight loss company and they now offer an online weight loss program in the United States. This online program incorporates a healthy eating plan, lifestyle activities and ongoing support to help ensure participants' long-term weight loss success. Slimming World and the American Diabetes Association both share a common goal of educating and supporting people with the tools and resources they need to lose or maintain their weight in order to lead healthier lifestyles. As a National Sponsor of Stop Diabetes®, Slimming World USA will integrate diabetes education/information in their messaging to raise people's awareness of the link between being overweight and being at risk for or managing diabetes, while helping the Association in its campaign to put an end to diabetes. One of the first initiatives will begin during National Diabetes Month in November, where Slimming World will donate a portion of each new membership fee to the American Diabetes Association.
