Colgate Total® supports the American Diabetes Association and their efforts to Stop Diabetes by educating consumers and health care professionals about the important role that oral care plays as it relates to the management of diabetes and living an overall healthy lifestyle. As a sponsor of the Association's Recipes for Healthy Living online resource, Domino Light and C&H Light not only provide an array of delicious recipes but also help promote the importance of making healthy lifestyle choices for people living with diabetes. In addition, Domino Light and C&H Light sponsor American Diabetes Association EXPO® in several markets across the country as well as other community-based Association programs and events to strengthen their community involvement around the movement to Stop Diabetes.

As a resource for foot care products suitable for people with diabetes, Richelieu Hosiery USA Inc, maker of MediPeds® has joined the movement to Stop Diabetes®! MediPeds offerings include diabetic socks and educational materials on diabetic foot care and skincare. In support of those affected by diabetes, MediPeds is working with the Association to communicate the importance of proper foot care in the management of diabetes. As a supporter of the Association's “Double Up Challenge” direct mail fundraising campaign, the company helps encourage consumers to make a donation to the Association to fund research programs and education and will match donations up to $50,000.

Nutrisystem® D®, a product of Nutrisystem, a leading developer of weight loss products and services is supporting the American Diabetes Association by helping to educate consumers about the importance of losing weight and maintaining a healthy weight for people with type 2 diabetes. Nutrisystem is also providing educational tools for Health Care Professionals to ensure that they have the resources they need to help their patients with diabetes who are struggling with their weight. In addition, Nutrisystem D is supports Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes in the Philadelphia area to help ensure that their local community is working together to Stop Diabetes.

Walgreen Co., the nation’s largest drugstore chain, helps to Stop Diabetes® by supporting Check Up America, the American Diabetes Association 's type 2 diabetes prevention initiative. Money raised through Walgreens’ in-store fundraising activities supports the expanded distribution of patient education materials, community events in select markets that are designed to help those at highest risk for diabetes become aware and take action to Stop Diabetes before it starts and the development of a new national public service campaign to promote consumer awareness about the seriousness of diabetes and its risk factors. In addition, the company is a National Sponsor of the Association's signature event, Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes and employees across the country also participate in the annual fundraising campaign. The Association is one of the company's partner charities within “Walgreens Way to Well Commitment™" – a four year, $100 million health and wellness initiative.

The Walmart Foundation is a major supporter of the American Diabetes Association’s movement to Stop Diabetes. This year, the Foundation awarded the Association with a $1 million grant to fund our Living With Type 2 Diabetes program which offers help, hope and support to people newly diagnosed with diabetes. This grant reinforces Walmart’s commitment to improving the lives of individuals in local communities. As a founding sponsor of the program, Walmart's grant will support the development and distribution of tools and resources for patients through direct mail, online and healthcare professional outreach. The Walmart Foundation is also a sponsor of the American Diabetes Association EXPO, the nation’s premier diabetes education event that provides consumers with strategies, tools and solutions to help them better manage their diabetes an interactive and participatory setting. Walmart associates are also engaged in communities nationwide through their participation in the Association’s signature events Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes and Tour de Cure.
