Bravo Health, a provider of Medicare health and prescription drug plans, is helping the Association stop diabetes both on a national and local level. Nationally, Bravo Health is reaching out to more than 250,000 of their membership base and educating them about the risks of diabetes in addition to providing them with healthy living tools and diabetes resources from the American Diabetes Association. Locally, Bravo Health supports our events and programs including Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes, Feria de Salud, and Project Power in several communities across the country.

Sanare, LLC, and its new consumer brand, BrightSky, has joined forces with the American Diabetes Association as a National Strategic Partner. BrightSky is a comprehensive, patient-focused company that provides diabetes testing supplies, support and proactive management that will help health care professionals and customers manage diabetes more effectively. Specifically, BrightSky will support the Association’s newly diagnosed patient initiative Living With Type 2 Diabetes. As a founding sponsor of the program, BrightSky’s funding will help in improving the health of this target audience by making tools and resources – such as the Where Do I Begin? Living with Type 2 Diabetes booklet – available to consumers via healthcare professionals. In addition, BrightSky will work with the Association to conduct educational workshops for people with diabetes, including those enrolled in the Living with Type 2 Diabetes program in selected markets.
For more than 18 years, Specialty Brands of America, the makers of Cary's Sugar Free Syrup, has supported the American Diabetes Association’s mission to stop diabetes. Cary's is a national sponsor of Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes, the Association's premier fundraising event and, as an advocate of healthy living, the company also provides healthy recipes for the Association's popular Recipe of the Day page on diabetes.org.
Colgate-Palmolive Company, makers of Colgate Total toothpaste, supports the American Diabetes Association's efforts to educate consumers and health care professionals about the importance of oral care & hygiene as it relates to the prevention and management of diabetes.
HearPO provides hearing health care benefits through a network of hearing professionals that includes brands such as Sonus and Miracle-Ear and is one of the newest companies to Join the Millions℠ in the fight to Stop Diabetes®. The anchor of the relationship is the development and distribution of online and printed educational resources targeting seniors, download your copy of the Living Healthy with Diabetes Guide to help assist you or your loved one in dealing with broad health issues, including hearing impairment. In addition, the company supports EXPO and Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes at the community level.

Gold's Gym is a national sponsor of Tour de Cure, The American Diabetes Association’s nationwide cycling event that helps to increase awareness about diabetes. Gold's Gym teams up with us to raise funds and promote the importance of physical activity in preventing and managing diabetes. Since 2004, Gold’s Gym has been named the Tour's Top Fundraising Team and has raised over $2.8 million to support the mission of the Association. As part of their ongoing commitment to stop diabetes, Gold's Gym has also worked with the Association to develop an Intro to Fitness Guide and on-line fitness resource center that offers free fitness information, tips and exercise programs.
Through their support of the American Diabetes Association’s Ask the Pharmacist page on diabetes.org and the in-store distribution of diabetes educational materials, Rite Aid provides much needed resources to help people with diabetes better manage their disease. Rite Aid was the first retail pharmacy to develop a relationship with the Association and helps raise funds through their annual Pin-Up campaign in November. Rite Aid also supported a Mobile Tour at 30 locations throughout the NorthEast, They not only provided free diabetes testing, resources and materials, but also made a donation from the Rite Aid Foundation to each of these local American Diabetes Association offices.
Walgreen Co., the nation’s largest drugstore chain, helps to Stop Diabetes® by supporting Check Up America, the American Diabetes Association 's type 2 diabetes prevention initiative. Money raised through Walgreens’ in-store fundraising activities supports the expanded distribution of patient education materials, community events in select markets that are designed to help those at highest risk for diabetes become aware and take action to Stop Diabetes before it starts and the development of a new national public service campaign to promote consumer awareness about the seriousness of diabetes and its risk factors. In addition, the company is a National Sponsor of the Association’s signature event, Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes and employees across the country also participate in the annual fundraising campaign. The Association is one of the company’s partner charities within “Walgreens Way to Well Commitment™" – a four year, $100 million health and wellness initiative.

The Walmart Foundation is a major supporter of the American Diabetes Association’s movement to Stop Diabetes. This year, the Foundation awarded the Association with a $1 million grant to fund our Living With Type 2 Diabetes program which offers help, hope and support to people newly diagnosed with diabetes. This grant reinforces Walmart’s commitment to improving the lives of individuals in local communities. As a founding sponsor of the program, Walmart's grant will support the development and distribution of tools and resources for patients through direct mail, online and healthcare professional outreach. The Walmart Foundation is also a sponsor of the American Diabetes Association EXPO, the nation’s premier diabetes education event that provides consumers with strategies, tools and solutions to help them better manage their diabetes an interactive and participatory setting. Walmart associates are also engaged in communities nationwide through their participation in the Association’s signature events Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes and Tour de Cure.
