Latino Health Care

The American Diabetes Association (ADA) is increasing its focus on the growing incidence of diabetes in the Latino population and the impact of this disease on health care in the Latino community. Recent data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) show that this group develops diabetes at twice the rate of the general population.

Through an interactive approach, this Latino Health Care Web site presents multiple tools to help health care professionals improve patient outcomes related to diabetes and its complications, and overcome barriers to improving patient care in this population.
