American Diabetes Association Announces New Public Service Announcements For Diabetes Prevention
Alexandria, VA – The American Diabetes Association announces two new Public Service Announcements (PSAs) through its CheckUp America initiative. These PSAs, “Weigh the Risks” and “Demonstration”, encourage the public to take the Diabetes Risk Test or talk with a health care provider to see if they are at risk for type 2 diabetes. CheckUp America is the Association’s initiative to help people lower their risk for type 2 diabetes.

American Diabetes Association and European Association for the Study of Diabetes Issue Joint Position Statement on Hyperglycemia Treatment
Alexandria, VA – After several years of planning, discussion and review, new guidelines for managing elevated blood glucose levels in people with type 2 diabetes, developed jointly by the American Diabetes Association and the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD), are being published concurrently in the Association’s journal, April 19 online edition of Diabetes Care and in EASD’s journal, Diabetologia.
