The American Diabetes Association is pleased to announce that Anna Katherine Tollett, from Louisiana, is the grand-prize winner of the Share Your Vision to Stop Diabetes® video contest. The video received the most votes during the two-week national contest, which was sponsored by VSP® Vision Care.  As the winner, Anna Katherine will have the opportunity to be a part of a Stop Diabetes public service announcement and will receive an Apple® iPad®.

Rachel Wright, from Colorado, and Laurie Basloe, from New York, were the second-and third-place finalists in the contest.  They will both receive Apple iPads for their compelling videos.

During American Diabetes Month® last November, people from around the country demonstrated their commitment to ending this deadly epidemic and created 30-second video submissions focusing on why they personally wanted to Stop Diabetes. From January 10-24, the public visited stopdiabetes.com and voted for the most compelling and creative video.  In total, there were more than 100 videos submitted and more than 10,000 votes for the top 10 videos.
