American Diabetes Association Opens Call for National Committees

The American Diabetes Association, the nation’s leading voluntary health organization in the fight to Stop Diabetes®, has opened the call for applications for the national committees.

The national committees aid in the accomplishment of the multifaceted work of the Association through the dedication and leadership of its many diverse volunteers. The committee members will play an integral role in the accomplishment of the 2012-2015 Strategic Plan and the advancement of the mission of the Association.

Applications are being accepted for the following committees:

  • Adult Strategies
  • Advocacy
  • Community & Volunteer Development

  • Diversity & Inclusion
  • Education Recognition Program
  • Finance
  • Income Development
  • Prevention
  • Professional Practice
  • Research Policy
  • Scientific & Medical Programs Oversight
  • Scientific Sessions Meeting Planning
  • Youth Strategies

Applications for the national committees will be received now through July 11, 2013. Criteria for each of the committees as well as the application information can be found on diabetes.org/committees.
