Away from Home

Don't deprive your child of sleepovers, school trips, or family vacations because of diabetes. Caring for diabetes when away from home -- whether it's at a sleepover or on a family vacation -- takes preparation and planning. Your doctor or diabetes educator can help you adapt your child's diabetes treatment to traveling, taking into account the specific details of each trip.

Diabetes Camps
The American Diabetes Association is proud to be the largest provider of camps for children with diabetes in the world. Each year more than 10,000 children benefit from camping programs provided through American Diabetes Association funding.
