Bravo Health, a provider of Medicare health and prescription drug plans, is helping the Association stop diabetes both on a national and local level. Nationally, Bravo Health is reaching out to more than 250,000 of their membership base and educating them about the risks of diabetes in addition to providing them with healthy living tools and diabetes resources from the American Diabetes Association. Locally, Bravo Health supports our events and programs including Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes, Feria de Salud, and Project Power in several communities across the country.
For more than 17 years, Specialty Brands of America, the makers of Cary's Sugar Free Syrup, has supported the American Diabetes Association’s mission to stop diabetes. Cary's is a national sponsor of Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes, the Association's premier fundraising event and, as an advocate of healthy living, the company also provides healthy recipes for the Association's popular Recipe of the Day page on diabetes.org.
Colgate-Palmolive Company, makers of Colgate Total toothpaste, supports the American Diabetes Association's efforts to educate consumers and health care professionals about the importance of oral care & hygiene as it relates to the prevention and management of diabetes.
CVS/pharmacy supports the American Diabetes Association’s advocacy initiatives, which include:The Day with Diabetes,a program that creates awareness among members of Congress about the burden of diabetes and Call to Congress, an event where diabetes advocates from across the country convene in Washington, DC to meet with Members of Congress to help them understand the effect diabetes has on the lives on millions of people living with the disease. CVS also supports the Association's Congressional Briefing where new congressional staffers are educated about the importance of stopping diabetes through their legislative efforts.
Living a healthy life begins with good planning, and with the support of Dignity Memorial Network the American Diabetes Association is developing tools and resources to help people across their life stages take a proactive role in planning for and living a healthy life. Such tools include Planning for a Healthy Life;a guide that features topics on family health, home safety and planning for a secure retirement, and the expansion of the Association's memorial program by providing an online vehicle to honor those who have passed away from diabetes. What’s more, Dignity Memorial goes the extra mile by calling upon the enthusiasm of their employees to help fight diabetes by participating in our, Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes and Tour de Cure fundraising events.
Gold's Gym is a national sponsor of Tour de Cure, The American Diabetes Association’s nationwide cycling event that helps to increase awareness about diabetes. Gold's Gym teams up with us to raise funds and promote the importance of physical activity in preventing and managing diabetes. Since 2004, Gold’s Gym has been named the Tour's Top Fundraising Team and has raised over $2.5 million to support the mission of the Association. As part of their ongoing commitment to stop diabetes, Gold's Gym has also worked with the Association to develop an Intro to Fitness Guide and on-line fitness resource center that offers free fitness information, tips and exercise programs.
Liberty Medical Supply is a national charter sponsor of the American Diabetes Association's I Decide To Stop Diabetes (ID) campaign, which inspires people to live healthier lives and make better choices when it comes to preventing and managing their diabetes and raises funds to support our mission. Through their video series and outreach activities, Liberty helps to educate consumers about diabetes treatment and generate awareness about the cause. Liberty also actively engages their patients and their employees in the fight to stop diabetes.
Through their support of the American Diabetes Association’s Ask the Pharmacist page on diabetes.org and the in-store distribution of diabetes educational materials, Rite Aid is providing much needed resources to help people with diabetes better manage their disease. Rite Aid was the first retail pharmacy to develop a relationship with the Association and helps raise funds through their an annual Pin-Up campaign in November. Rite Aid also supports I Decide to Stop Diabetes Day at Church, part of the Project Power, a faith-based program bringing awareness and education about diabetes to the African American community.

McNeil Nutritionals, maker of Splenda® Brands and Sun Crystals® All Natural Sweetener with Stevia, is committed to helping people and their families with diabetes by focusing on the overall nutritional needs of the diabetes community. The Splenda and Sun Crystals brands are national sponsors of Tour de Cure,the Association's premier cycling event.The company also supports the Association by sponsoring our Recipe of the Day web page and a variety of educational information and tools for consumers and healthcare professionals that feature practical tips for healthful eating and weight management.
VSP® Vision Care supports the American Diabetes Association by raising awareness about the detection, prevention, and proper management of diabetes through regular eye care. VSP sponsors the Association's Winning at Work program, a workplace initiative providing resources to help employees’ live healthier lives through diabetes education. VSP also participates in the Association's Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes and Tour de Cure events across the country and supports the Ask the Eye Doctor chat series on diabetes.org.
