About the Camp

The home of the Association's Camp Midicha is the YMCA's Camp Copneconic. YMCA's Camp Copneconic is accredited by the American Camp Association. Camp Copneconic partners with Camp Midicha to provide campsite, dining, accommodations, program and counselor staff. Camp Copneconic is located in Fenton, just south of Flint, Michigan. All our staff, from the directors and administrators to the counselors, specialists and support staff, work hard to make sure your child has fun in a safe environment. Our staff has training in diabetes management, emergency procedures and cabin supervision. Every counselor goes through extensive training by the YMCA, addressing team building, homesickness and behavior management.

A traditional summer camp experience at our partner facility YMCA Camp Copneconic.
Adventurers: Ages 8 – 9 Years
Trailblazers: Ages 10 – 12 Years
Teens: Ages 13 – 17 Years

MIDICHA RESIDENT SESSION TWO:
June 23 - June 28, 2019
A traditional summer camp experience at our partner facility YMCA Camp Copneconic.
Adventurers: Ages 8 – 9 Years
Trailblazers: Ages 10 – 12 Years
Teens: Ages 13 – 17 Years

MIDICHA MOSAIC TRAVEL TRIP:
June 23 - June 28, 2019
A travel trip around the state of Michigan. Campers will go camping and on adventurous
excursions with Trip Leaders and Medical Staff. Limited Spots are available.
Mosiac: Ages 14 to 17 years

EXPLORERS DAY CAMP:
June 24 - June 28, 2019
Campers will be picked up and dropped off daily. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Siblings or non-diabetic friends are welcome to sign up if they also fall within the day camp age range.
Day Camp: Ages 5 to 9 years

COUNSELORS IN TRAINING:
June 16 - June 28, 2019
A true team bonding and leadership experience. CIT’s will experience a week of camp fun while developing leadership skills and having a 3 day camping trip offsite. During the second week of the program participants are given responsibility to assist counselors with the adventurer and trailblazer age groups. Interview and Background Check is required for this program, limited spots are available.
CIT: Age 17
