Facts About High Blood Sugar and the Diabetes Diagnosis — Dr. Stuart Benson, DO
9:30 a.m. - 10:25 a.m.
Dr. Benson is a highly regarded internal medicine physician in Northwest Arkansas practicing at Sugar Creek Clinic in Bentonville. During his 23 years of practice, he has taken a special interest in working with diabetics and helping them to successfully manage their disease. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and a fellow in The American College of Osteopathic Internists.
The Decision to Pursue Fitness and Your Overall Health — Fred Ridgeway, Fitness Professional
10:30 a.m. - 11:25 a.m.
Fred is a retired management training specialist for Walmart who currently teaches many classes in Northwest Arkansas including indoor cycling, water aerobics, water pilates, proper use of exercise equipment, golf fitness and Silver Sneakers classes.
Taking Control — Scott Simmons, A1C Champion
11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Scott is a member of the A1C Champions® Program which is a patient-led approach to diabetes education. A1C Champions® know first-hand the challenges and obstacles to maintaining control of their diabetes. He will share diabetes self-management and lifestyle strategies based on extensive training and his personal experience living with diabetes.
