Northwest Arkansas/River Valley
Arkansans are increasingly feeling the effects of diabetes as nearly 235,000 people suffer from the disease in the state, and over 35,000 have the disease in our local area! By the year 2050, it is estimated that one in three adults will be directly affected by diabetes.
That is why the American Diabetes Association's Northwest Arkansas / River Valley office is so committed to educating the public about how to stop diabetes and support those living with the disease.
We are here to help.
Voted as the Best Charity Gala in Northwest Arkansas for the last seven years, the American Diabetes Association and Glucerna proudly present this year's theme "Under the Pig Top". Join us for a black-tie affair featuring fine cuisine, live and silent auctions, and over-the-top entertainment as the community's most talented leaders compete for the chance to kiss a pig to thank it for producing the first source of insulin for people with diabetes.
Listen to a certified diabetes educator talk about prediabetes and ways to prevent the development of type 2 diabetes at the Rogers Activity Center.
