 Over 26.8 million Americans are affected by diabetes. People in New Jersey are increasingly feeling the effects of diabetes as approximately 800,000 New Jerseyans battle diabetes and prediabetes every day. Many of them don't even know it! It is estimated that one in three Americans will have diabetes by the year 2050, if current trends continue.

The American Diabetes Association's New Jersey's office is dedicated to ensuring the before mentioned statistic does not become a reality by raising funds for research, programing and advocacy. The NJ office is committed to educating the public about how to stop diabetes and support those living with the disease through our many fundraising events. Recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes? Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes® Corporate Kickoff
The American Diabetes Association is making an everyday difference in the fight against diabetes. You and your company can help by getting involved in the Association's Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes. The Walk is a great way to encourage a healthy, active life-style while raising critical dollars needed to stop diabetes.

Join the Association and members of the community at our Corporate Kickoff Breakfast. At the Breakfast, you will not only learn more about diabetes and how it affects your company's bottom line, but you will also have the opportunity to hear directly from a local volunteer who will discuss how diabetes affects each and every one of us. There are kickoffs in Bridgewater, Franklin Lakes and Princeton. Check out the dates below.

Driving Fore the Cure Golf Outing

The American Diabetes Association's Annual Driving Fore the Cure Golf Tournament began in 1986 to reach corporations and individuals. Presented by Novo Nordisk, the event gives each participant the opportunity to interact with fellow Association partners and there are many options for support through foursomes and sponsorships. The outing takes place Monday, May 20, 2013 with an afternoon shotgun starting at 12:30 p.m. For the first time in 26 years, Driving Fore the Cure will be held at two exclusive country clubs in Skillman, New Jersey: Beden's Brook Country Club and Cherry Valley Country Club. Tour de Cure®

Tour de Cure is a series of fundraising cycling events held in 43 states nationwide. Whether you ride 10 miles or 100 miles, you will travel a route supported from start to finish with rest stops, food to fuel the journey and fans to cheer you on! Each Tour de Cure event has its own character and style—in New Jersey we host three rides, check out the dates and locations below.
