Living with Type 2 Diabetes
"You have diabetes" is a statement that 1.7 million Americans will be stunned by this year alone. In Hawaii, 113,000 people have diabetes, of which 26,100 remain undiagnosed. 20,000 Native Hawaiians have diabetes in the State of Hawaii. The Association is committed to providing the necessary information, tools and other resources to all affected by diabetes to raise awareness and improve outcomes of those affected by diabetes or prediabetes.
The purpose of the Living With Type 2 Diabetes program is to provide diabetes educational materials, tools, support services, and other resources to those affected by diabetes so they can make healthier lifestyle choices, and experience reduced onset of diabetes and its complications.
