These programs are designed to bring information and skills directly to the patient in their own “community” to assist them with daily management of their diabetes and/or to prevent diabetes. We welcome anyone and everyone to attend—bring a family and/or a friend.

Living with Type 2 Diabetes
“You have diabetes” is a statement that 1.9 million Americans will be stunned by this year alone. In Hawaii 113,000 people have diabetes; of which 28,000 remain undiagnosed. 20,000 Native Hawaiians have diabetes in the State of Hawaii. The Association is committed to providing the necessary information, tools, and other resources to all affected by diabetes to raise awareness and improve outcomes of those affected by diabetes or prediabetes.
The purpose of the Living With Type 2 Diabetes program is to provide diabetes educational materials, tools, support services, and other resources to those affected by diabetes so they can make healthier lifestyle choices, and experience reduced onset of diabetes and its complications.
