Camp JADA - New Location
June 10 to 13, 2013
Camp JADA will be held at The Bolles School San Jose Campus. Camp is a four day camp for children ages 6 to 12 with diabetes, and campers have the option of bringing a sibling or friend without diabetes. Camp JADA provides the excitement and activities of a typical summer camp, while creating a greater awareness of diabetes. Through games, activities and interactive education, campers will learn how to become more comfortable with the physical and emotional challenges that are associated with diabetes. Register today.

Diabetes Advocate
Advocacy at the American Diabetes Association works to improve access to quality care, eliminate discrimination against people because of their diabetes, and make sure the federal government is adequately funding diabetes research and programs. What you say matters.
Become a diabetes advocate and make a difference; and receive action alerts on state and federal legislation that affects people with diabetes.
Please see diabetes policy changes in schools. It's victory for one First Coast mom whose son lives with diabetes. After five years, a mother's fight to change the Duval County Public Schools' policy is over. Tracy Milligan, MS, is the Advocacy Chair for the American Diabetes Association Jacksonville Board.
The Family Link
Family Link is a program that focuses on education, social events and a mentoring program which connects newly diagnosed children and their families with experienced families who are dealing well with the disease.
Live Empowered
The African American Initiatives program, Live Empowered is a faith-based awareness program targeting the African American community. African Americans are 50% more likely to have diabetes than Caucasians.
Living With Type 2 Diabetes
Get more information and support throughout the year. Join the American Diabetes Association's Living With Type 2 Diabetes program. The program is available as an online or a mailed program. Both offer the same great content. Choose how you want to receive information when you sign up. Once you sign up, we will send you free regular mailings that will help you learn more about diabetes, stay healthy and feel better.

Stop Diabetes at Work℠
The American Diabetes Association's Stop Diabetes at Work program will enable local businesses to take tangible steps in improving their employees' health through: Diabetes 101 & 201 Lunch and Learns with lunch provided for a certain number of participants, the company's receipt of the Stop Diabetes at Work comprehensive workplace wellness campaign for implementation.
