Kentuckians and West Virginians are increasingly feeling the effects of diabetes as thousands of people suffer from the disease, and many others may have diabetes and not know it! It is estimated that one out of every three children born after 2000 in the United States will be directly affected by diabetes.

That is why the American Diabetes Association's Lexington office is so committed to educating the public about how to stop diabetes and support those living with the disease.

Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes is the Association's signature fundraising walk. Step Out is filled with music, food, kids activities, local entertainment and most importantly, the company of hundreds of people who truly understand the impact of diabetes.

Tour De Cure®

Tour de Cure is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for everyone from the occasional rider to the experienced cyclist (1, 5, 20, 40 and 60 mile routes.)

This event is a unique opportunity for businesses, families and co-workers to come together to Stop Diabetes® – to raise awareness, raise funds and build a sense of community while participating in a fun and healthy physical exercise. Over 250 cyclists and families participate.
