Southeast Wisconsin Tour de Cure®

Tour de Cure® 2013Saturday, June 15, 2013
Ride in the Tour de Cure and you'll be doing more than spending a healthy day outdoors. You'll be helping Stop Diabetes® by raising much needed funds to help us find a cure. You'll be giving hope to 24 million people with diabetes, to their families and their friends.

The 2013 Southeast Wisconsin Tour de Cure will take place at Grafton High School in Grafton, WI. The Southeast Wisconsin Tour de Cure includes four routes (4 mile Family Fun Ride, 25K, 50K and 100K) that all take advantage of Ozaukee County's beautiful interurban trail.

Camp LakotaCamp Lakota

Session I: June 16-21, 2013
Session II: June 23-28, 2013
Camp Lakota is held at the Wisconsin Lions Camp in Rosholt, Wisconsin. The camp's lake is perfect for swimming, boating and fishing and there are also hiking trails, climbing walls and an archery range. A typical day includes swimming, diabetes education, boating, arts and crafts, having fun and making new friends!

Camp MarrakeshCamp Marrakesh

September 27-29, 2013
Camp Marrakesh is held every fall for families of children who are newly diagnosed with diabetes. During this weekend retreat, families learn how to work together to support the child's management of diabetes through speakers, workshops, games and other fun activities.

Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes®

Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Schlitz Park, Milwaukee RiverWalk, Milwaukee.
If you LOVE your SWEET, then MOVE your FEET!
River WalkCelebrate Sweetest Day on Saturday, October 19 at Southeast Wisconsin's Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes! Our walk will start at Schlitz Park and is a 3.1 mile walk through the historical Milwaukee RiverWalk. By raising pledges, walkers will help fund local community education programs, critical research to find treatments and ultimately a cure for diabetes. All participants that fundraise $100 or more will receive an official Step Out t-shirt! Our Step Out will include family-fun activities along the walk, such as hula hooping, jumping rope and more!

Stop Diabetes Gala

November 2, 2013
During National Diabetes Awareness Month, the American Diabetes Association-Wisconsin will host its annual Gala, at the Pilot House in Milwaukee. The event will feature a silent auction, dinner, live auction and a few special attractions to make this night most memorable.
