Diabetes Educators

Find a Recognized Education Program Near You.

Fred Bird and Step Out walkersMissourians are increasingly feeling the effects of diabetes as thousands of people suffer from the disease, and many others have diabetes and do not yet know it! It is estimated that one out of every three children born after 2000 in the United States will be directly affected by diabetes.

That is why the American Diabetes Association's St. Louis area office is so committed to educating the public about how to stop diabetes and support those living with the disease.

We are here to help.

Dr. Abby HollanderVolunteer Recognition Week

"This important week is about honoring our wonderful volunteers and thanking them for being at the center of social change—discovering and actively demonstrating their collective power to foster positive transformation. In our case, that is a vision of life free of diabetes and all its burdens," said Carole Fell, Director, Community & Volunteer Development.

Dr. Abby Hollander has been Medical Director of Camp EDI for at least 15 years. Without her, camp would not be what is today – a safe, successful and fun experience for our campers. Thank you so much Dr. Abby!
