Sponsors the Napa Valley Tour de Cure

Step into the Mission Bay Conference Center at UCSF and you’ll see an exciting new meeting and event destination, centered in UCSF's new 43-acre life sciences campus for teaching and research. Headed By General Manager Mark Wallace, Chairman of the American Diabetes Association’s National Income Development Committee, and member of the local Community Leadership Board, the Mission Bay Conference Center is a model of environmental stewardship and community involvement.

As a major sponsor of Napa Valley The Tour de Cure, Mr. Wallace says, "UCSF has always been at the forefront of diabetes research. Our basic and clinical researchers have led developments in treatment and care of both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. The Mission Bay Conference Center at UCSF sees the value in the American Diabetes Association's mission, to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people with diabetes. Because of this alignment, it is with great pride that we are a sponsor of the American Diabetes Association's Tour De Cure on May 5, 2013."

In the hospitality field for over thirty years, Mr. Wallace is responsible for guiding the Mission Bay Conference Center team towards their mission of being a world class meeting facility in the heart of Mission Bay. We thank Mark Wallace and the Mission Bay Conference Center for their ongoing support and contributions to the American Diabetes Association.
