Volunteer Spotlight
We recently had the opportunity to sit down with Marshall Case, the Silicon Valley Tour de Cure Executive Chair and discuss why he is passionate about helping the American Diabetes Association. Marshall says:
Diabetes has already affected the lives of over 26 million people including the demise of my mother. What scares me is this number will skyrocket rapidly if we do not find a cure. Not only will that impact many lives directly but also friends and family so that the numbers become unthinkable. And, having a finance background the impact of diabetes on health care costs is clearly unsustainable at already about 10%. I know that we can make a difference and that is why I am fighting for the cure.
Team Lockheed has always been a strong presence for the Silicon Valley Tour de Cure, rising over $135,000.00 in 2012 to Stop Diabetes! This year it will be no different as they rally for the ride of their life!
Marshall Case is the Vice President, Infrastructure Services at Lockheed Martin.
