Washington

Washingtonians are increasingly feeling the effects of diabetes as over 658,000 residents suffer from the disease, and many others may have diabetes and not know it. It is estimated that 1 out of every 3 children born after 2000 in the United States will be directly affected by diabetes, and currently 1 in 5 health care dollars is spent caring for someone with diabetes.
