Join for a group meeting for parents of children diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes.
Location: 2001 Medical Parkway, Annapolis, MD
When: 2nd Tuesday of each month (Will not meet in June, July and August). During the winter months, they will follow Anne Arundel County’s snow closure policies.

Suburban Hospital
Currently a pump support group, but may start a group for children in the near future. Also offers a two-day diabetes educational program that is multidisciplinary and is covered by insurance.

Shady Grove Adventist Hospital
Teens with Diabetes and Parents Night
Monthly meetings for teens with diabetes and their parents. Come meet and socialize with other teens and their families and learn a thing or two about how to handle diabetes! Meetings are lead by staff from Shady Grove that includes a Child Life Specialist, Certified Diabetes Nurse Educators, and a Nutritionist as well as an independent licensed Social Worker, and a teen facilitator. Future plans include guest speakers on various related topics and “field trips” to fun places! The meetings are scheduled for the first Wednesday of each month in the Hospital’s Sycamore conference room located in the main lobby.
