Online Support Group
This is a support group for children and parents of children with type 1 diabetes in Northern Virginia, DC, and Maryland. This group is mainly an email discussion group with over 140 families, but also has social outings in the area.

Join for a group meeting for parents of children diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes.
Location: Jennifer Road and Medical Parkway, Annapolis, MD (Group meets in the 7th Floor Classroom of the Health Sciences Pavillion)
When: 2nd Tuesday of each month (Will not meet in June, July and August). During the winter months, they will follow Anne Arundel County’s snow closure policies.

Type 1 Friends
Type 1 Friends is a support group geared towards parents but don’t worry, you can bring your kids! We have staff that play with the children! It’s great for the parents and is also great way for your kids to meet other children living with type one.
