About Jay Dickman

Jay Dickman

As a Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist and National Geographic photographer, Jay Dickman is one of the most traveled, experienced and celebrated photographers.

This holds true through his depiction of a A Day in the Life of Diabetes art exhibit as Dickman shows three people living with this disease every day through the eye of his camera.

As a proud father and husband, Dickman has true passion in helping to Stop Diabetes® because this disease has personally touched him and his family. His brother-in-law passed away from complications of diabetes and this understanding of the disease truly resonates in Dickman’s photos showing the herculean tasks it takes each and every day to live with diabetes.

Dickman is also the winner of several World Press International awards, including the “Golden Eye” and the Sigma Delta Chi Award for Distinguished Service in Journalism, Dickman is a regular on the photo lecture circuit and co-author of two editions of Perfect Digital Photography with fellow Olympus Visionary Jay Kinghorn.
