Volunteer Spotlight

Lori Bednarz, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

“I attended Diabetes Camp.  I was a Camp Counselor.  After I got my nursing degree, I was asked to return to camp as a camp nurse.  A couple of years later I became the Nursing Director for camp.  Ten years later, I still love every minute of this.  Camp was a huge help to me and I appreciate being able to give this experience to others.  As long as there is diabetes, I hope there is an American Diabetes Association Diabetes Camp.  You will love this experience!”
