ADA Webinar: Building on Our Victory
Building on Our Victory: Diabetes and the ADA Amendments Act of 2008
The American Diabetes Association, along with the National Employment Lawyers Association and the National Disability Rights Network, presented this webinar in February 2009 to educate attorneys representing people with diabetes on the changes made by the ADA Amendments Act of 2008, which took effect on January 1, 2009. The webinar was moderated by Shereen Arent, National Director of Legal Advocacy at the Association, and presented by Brian East and Dan Kohrman, two experienced employment lawyers and Association volunteers. The webinar discusses the major changes made by the ADA Amendments Act and how these changes will apply to proving that individuals with diabetes are disabled under the new law.
