About Camp John Warvel

With an emphasis on fun, Camp John Warvel is an American Diabetes Association residential Camp held at the YMCA Camp Crosley in North Webster. It offers a unique learning atmosphere for children with diabetes to acquire new skills in caring for their diabetes according to their developmental levels. Positive attitudes about diabetes and self- confidence in diabetes management are instilled through education, encouragement and example.

The American Diabetes Association is committed to providing educational information and referral services for children with diabetes and their families, advocating for fair and quality treatment of children with diabetes in schools, and increasing federal funding for diabetes research.
