Camper Parent, Joy:"Camp has been nothing short of a blessing to our family. We look forward to June every year! Brant becomes, "just a normal kid" @ Camp New Horizons wiht so many others who have diabetes. BG checks, red shirts, and visits to camp hospital all seem less painful because he is one of many! "I like to swim and make crafts", says Brant. We love the Friday activities, including the "Visit with the Dr. time" We are already looking forward to camp this year, with June being just five short months away!"
The American Diabetes Association is committed to providing educational information and referral services for children with diabetes and their families, advocating for fair and quality treatment of children with diabetes in schools, and increasing federal funding for diabetes research.
