About Camp Sugar Falls

Each summer, the American Diabetes Association's Camp Sugar Falls provides children with diabetes in the mid-Tennessee area a special place to play, laugh, share and learn about diabetes management. Camp Sugar Falls is a day-camp experience for children ages 6 to 12 that have been diagnosed with type 1 or type 2 diabetes. The camp offers an exciting week of recreational and educational activities that focus on nutrition, lifestyle habits, self-esteem and team building.

Camp Sugar Falls takes place at the YMCA's Camp Widjiwagan in Antioch, TN, which is located on 320 acres of land with 4 miles of shore line on J. Percy Priest Lake. Parents can be confident in knowing that our elite medical team will be overseeing your child's medical needs.

Since Camp Sugar Falls first began 31 years ago, our main priority has been your child's health and well being. Children attend camp from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For your convenience, the YMCA will offer several locations for bus pick-up and return; when you register online, please mark the transportation box and a list of the locations will be included in the registration confirmation email.
