Camp Lakota - Session I

American Diabetes Association Camp

About Camp Lakota

Registration for Camp Lakota is now FULL! Scroll down to view waitlist instructions.

Camp Lakota, a program of the American Diabetes Association-Wisconsin office, is held at the Wisconsin Lions Camp which is located in Rosholt, WI (17 miles northeast of Stevens Point, WI) and is offered to Wisconsin residents only. This includes a sparkling lake for boating, fishing and all water activities. There is hiking, climbing walls, archery, sailing, paddle boating and many other activities. A typical day includes swimming, education, boating, arts & crafts, having fun and making new friends.

Cabins are side by side with a lounge area connecting the 2 cabins which are air conditioned, fully accessible and have modern bathrooms. Camp facilities accommodate 150 campers per week. Cabins accommodate 8-9 campers and a counselor.

At camp we have nurses, doctors, and dietitians who are assigned to each cabin of 8-9 children. American Diabetes Association’s medical staff provide campers the information and skills they need to live successfully with diabetes in any situation.

We achieve your child's main goal in attending camp - having fun and meeting other kids with diabetes. Campers participate in traditional camp activities, gain independence, grow in self-confidence, discover new skills, learn respect for each other and the great outdoors.

Camp Lakota is sponsored by the American Diabetes Association and Wisconsin Lions Foundation, Inc.
