Adventurers Camp is perfect for the younger camper just getting their feet wet in the overnight experience! Cabin groups enjoy traditional camp activities such as fishing, archery, arts & crafts, swimming and more! Adventurers look for artifacts in the "Dig-It Pit" and search for underwater treasures while snorkeling. Campers feel safe and cared for as they learn new skills and make friends to last a lifetime!
Midicha Trailblazers - Ages 10 to 12
Campers can't wait to be a Trailblazers! Kids spend mornings at a cabin experiencing adventures such as the Creek Freak zip line, canoeing, arts & crafts and more! Camper's Choice provides the freedom for kids to blaze their own trail each afternoon. Campers will be able to choose from Climbing Tower, Aqua Jump, Kayaking and many more. Midicha Mosaic - Ages 14 to 16
Pack your bags – we’re headed to rugged Pennsylvania for a week of fun and adventure! Teens start the week with a trip down the mighty Youghiogheny followed by mountain biking along the river’s edge. Next it’s on to the paintball arena for some friendly competition. Geared up with life jacket & helmet, teens brave the whitewater one more time! Lifelong memories are formed as teens spend time around campsite cooking, laughing and enjoying the company of their new friends. Campers will sleep in tents for this trip. *Must have a minimum of 10 registered participants 30 days prior to trip.
Counselor-in-Traning (CIT) - Age 17 (and a senior in high school)
Camp Midicha campers become part of the "Midicha Family" when they reach their teenage years and start looking to the future and how to become counselors. This program is a great first step. The CIT Program is designed to continue making camp fun, while also creating opportunities to develop leadership skills. CITs learn the importance of a strong work ethic and those ever-important people skills. The program begins with great team building activities and an action-packed weekend between sessions. Application and interview required for admission. Must have completed the 11th grade. Two (2) nights in tents.
CIT hopefuls will have a face to face interview with the YMCA staff TBD in April at Camp Copneconic.
