Camp Midicha - Explorers Day Camp

American Diabetes Association Camp

About Camp Midicha

The home of the Association's Camp Midicha is the YMCA's Camp Copneconic. YMCA's Camp Copneconic is accredited by the American Camp Association. Camp Copneconic partners with Camp Midicha to provide campsite, dining accommodations, program and counselor staff. Camp Copneconic is located in Fenton, just south of Flint, Michigan. All our staff, from the directors and administrators to the counselors, specialists and support staff, work hard to make sure your child has fun in a safe environment. Our staff has training in diabetes management, emergency procedures and cabin supervision. Every counselor goes through extensive training by the YMCA, addressing team building, homesickness and behavior management.

Join us for a week long journey full of adventure and friendship at the Explorers Day Camp. Explorers take on challenges such as canoeing on Lake Copneconic, kickball tournaments, arts & crafts projects, swimming, fishing and more. Fantastic Friday wouldn't be complete without our traditional Fun Fair and Beach Bash!

Camp Midicha offers two resident sessions and a travel trip in addition to the Explorers Day Camp: Resident Session One (June 16 to June 21, 2013) and Resident Session Two and Midicha Mosaic Travel Trip (June 23 to June 28, 2013).
