Camp Rainbow

American Diabetes Association Camp

About Camp Rainbow

At Camp Rainbow, your child will participate in recreational activities like swimming, canoeing, fishing and rock climbing, while developing independence and confidence in caring for their diabetes.

Camp Rainbow is a day camp. We will supply snacks and lots of cold beverages and water. All campers should bring a lunch (which does not have to be refrigerated) each day except Thursday, which is Parents' Day. We'll provide hot dogs and burgers that day. Parents are invited to attend all day and to take part in discussions about the latest diabetes research and treatments and a host of other topics to be determined closer to Camp.

Since everyone is affected by the presence of diabetes in a family, siblings of appropriate camper age are encouraged to attend.

We hope this will be an educational and FUN experience for your child. Your child's safety at camp is the primary concern of our outstanding medical staff.

The American Diabetes Association is committed to providing educational information and referral services for children with diabetes and their families, advocating for fair and quality treatment of children with diabetes in schools, and increasing federal funding for diabetes research.

Camp Rainbow is on a Waitlist

There will almost certainly be some slots opening up. You may go ahead and enter your camper registration, but do not put down any payment - just choose pay entire amount by check - and IF/WHEN I have an opening, I will call you and tell you that we have a spot. Children with diabetes will be accepted before siblings. If you do not hear from me, assume you are still on the waitlist.
